When a grantee loses registered status, drops a Trust Grade, trips a new critical flag, or matches a sanctions list, you get an email digest — so you can document due diligence and catch problems before your next disbursement, without manually re-checking every charity.

We're onboarding design partners now and turning on alert types in stages. We only advertise what actually runs. Those platforms are built on US registries (IRS EINs); for Canadian charities they fall back to thin, point-in-time status lookups. CharityVerify is Canada-native: we run automated CRA-status and T3010 change-detection across all 138,631 registered Canadian charities and deliver it as a subscribable alert stream. No incumbent packages ongoing CRA change-monitoring for Canada — detection latency is what we sell.

No. Trust Grades are computed from public CRA filing data by an automated methodology applied identically to every organization — the same grade is shown to free donors and paying institutions. We do not accept payment from charities for better grades, and no monitoring customer can influence the scores of the charities they track. Alerts report observable changes in the public record, not opinions.

Yes — completely. Trust Grades, verdicts, registration status, and concern summaries on every Canadian charity are free to everyone with no account and no view limits. The free donor experience is how we build trust and reach; the paid product is monitoring for the institutions that fund charities.

Our engine scores each charity across 20 components using Canada Revenue Agency T3010 filings, peer benchmarking against similar organizations, and regulatory compliance checks, producing an A+ to F Trust Grade across legitimacy, financial health, and governance. The same data and methodology power both the free donor grades and the institutional monitoring signals.

Programmatic access to charity verification (single and bulk-BN), Trust Grades and score-history timeseries, and benchmark CSV exports — for developers and platforms embedding charity checks into their own workflows.
